The 2016 Emmy Nominations Are Here—See Who Made the Cut 

The countdown to the 68th Emmy Awards is officially underway!

On Thursday morning, Black-ish star Anthony Anderson and Gilmore Girls leading lady Lauren Graham announced the nominees for this year’s showdown L.A.’s Wolf Theatre. And the results? Fan favorites like Game of Thrones , House of Cards, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, are among the shows in the running for a trophy for the Outstanding Drama Series and the Outstanding Comedy Series categories, while the top actors and actresses in this year’s pool make for an especially competitive race. Claire Danes, Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Tatiana Maslany, Keri Russell, and Robin Wright are nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama Series, while the gentlemen face an equally competitive pool with talents like Kyle Chandler, Rami Malek, Bob Odenkirk, Matthew Rhys, Liev Schreiber, and Kevin Spacey all in the Lead Actor in a Drama Series category.

The 2016 Emmy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air live from L.A.’s Microsoft Theater on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
